Online learning using Grovo
As we all know, people learn in different ways from listening, seeing and touching.
For most people who are online, the second way..seeing has become a popular way for people to learn new things and usually it involves such tools as slide shares, tutorials and videos.
Just as we have started our own online learning via the AdlandPro Affiliate channel on Youtube, I want to introduce a service to you that I stumbled upon by accident. The name of the service is call Grovo, it was founded in 2010 and is online education and training platform that helps people find and use sites, and helps sites reach and educate users.
According to the entry at Wikipedia
“Grovo (pronounced grō-vō) is an online learning platform offering 1-minute videos with real-time updates and instruction on popular social media, ecommerce, and business productivity sites and Internet apps. Grovo is a freemium service that provides open access to 3,500 videos about 100+ websites and tools. The videos combine voiceover, screencasts, and animation, and are accompanied by quiz questions, glossary terms, and downloadable PDF takeaway notes”…
You can learn a variety of topics such as blogging, learn about Chrome, how to use Hootsuite, Google Adwords, G+, how to use social media and the list goes on and on. Grovo really is a cool online learning resource that is very easy to use and unlike going to a traditional school, you can learn at your convenience.
If you are needing more convincing, then here is what Ramon Nuez said ( 2011) on Huffington Post
Grovo is simply a wonderful service. The company sits squarely in the “online education” space with more than 400 lessons from dozens of sites. Grovo expects its library to grow to 2,000 new lessons by 2012. I have run through a number of the Grovo produced videos and each of them not only looks great but are very easy to follow.
( the numbers have gone up since this interview was given by the way)
If I’m coming across with a lot of enthusiasm, then I guess it is because when I find resources that will help people learn and in a way that is simple and easy, then yes I will shout it out to the world. 🙂 I highly recommend this resource to everyone and I hope that when you use it, you will come back and tell me how it has helped you.
