The Adlandpro Friday news is a fast paced discussion of the top news of Adlandpro.
Happy New Year everyone!
Christina started her year out right when she became the Credit contest Winner(for December) with 1899 credits! The prize for this contest is $100.00
For those people who are new to Adlandpro, there are many ways to earn credits
You can earn 10 credits every time you accept a friend request and we all know that there are many benefits to having friends on any social network esepcially Adlandpro
When you get an invitation to a forum that a friend of yours creates, just joining that forum earns you 10 credits
Other ways to earn credits:
10 credits for joining an event
10 credits every time someone follows you
10 credits every time you join a group
20 credits for every person you sign up( and validates their email)
*5 credits when someone replies to your thread.A community like this thrives on good conversations, so you get rewarded for starting a popular forum thread. Simply, you get 5 credits for every reply to one of your threads (for each unique user in a twenty-four hour period).Note that only meaningful replies count. One word quips like ‘lol’ might be expressive, but they don’t contribute to a discussion.
*1 credit every time someone like you.You might have noticed Community’s voting system — a pair of thumbs . These two thumbs let you show your approval for things you like, and your disapproval of things you don’t. You’ll see quality content — insightful posts, helpful users, popular forums, and so on — getting a lot of green votes. But it works both ways: you can get votes as well. Whenever you do something that someone else likes, they can vote for you. And even better, for every such vote you receive, you also get 1 free credits! The best way to take advantage of this is to engage other users. Spend time on the forums, make insightful replies, and be helpful and friendly.
Note we do have algorithms in place that filter out like spamming, and which may limit the number of likes received.
1. Start positive relationships! Find people who you like and admire, people who can help you with your business and get to know them
2. Do What you love More! Make a point of doing the jobs that you least like first so that you can focus more time on the creative part of your marketing.
3. Learn something new! Whether it be learning how to make inforgraphics, learning how to use a new channel ( LinkedIn, Google plus,SlideShare, Adlandpro:-) ) The fact is when you learn something new, it makes you feel good and gives you more zest to what you are doing
4. Spruce up your profile! Its a new year and starting the new year right means looking at how others are seeing you across all the different social networks.
5. Lose weight! While many people think of losing weight as a traditional New years resolution, in the world of marketing it means, stop spending your time and money where you are gaining nothing! Go through your programs and get rid of them if they are not doing anything for you. Stop spending money on gadgets or resources that you are not using and will never use.
I know that for many of you, your New Years Marketing Resolutions will be different…what would you add to this list that would help others?
We had some great blogs being posted last week didn’t we? Here is a Friday Review listing of all the blogs written. Thank you to the authors for writing some great stories.
Speaking of blogging, I noted that Diane has posted something on the Adlandpro Wall that I am putting in the Friday Review for you to note:
Good day to everyone – may I have your attention?
This is your friendly Adlandpro blogging administrator speaking and I would like to thank everyone who has been using the blogging service on Adlandpro to extend their reach via blogging.
It is a true pleasure to see those of you who are writing blog posts that are informative, entertaining and eductional be published and have your hard work shared around the social networks.
I have noticed that many people are submitting blog posts that are being denied for the simple reason they are not within the guidelines. Please read the guidelines *before* submitting any article and here is the link if you have problems finding it ( bookmark it)
IF you are re blogging a post from *your main blog* DO NOT copy and paste directly into the content editor! When you are doing this action, you are messing up the code and it takes me sometimes two to three hours to fix it.
I have written a post about how to copy and paste into any WordPress Blog safely..please read:
Copying and pasting content onto your WordPress blog – safely!
I have also written a blog post on Bogdan’s business blog regarding images, I suggest that you read it and learn how to upload your images rather than copy and pasting them onto a blog post
Using images for blog posts:
Lets make 2014 the year of the blog and to your success.
Inspiration comes in many forms and when you read this don’t think of “old” think timeless! Have a great week everyone!
AND THEN IT IS WINTER
You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years. It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. Yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all. I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams.
But, here it is – the ‘ back nine’ of my life and it catches me by surprise. How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my youth go? I remember vividly seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that ‘I was only on the first hole’ and the ‘back nine’ was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like.
But, here it is . . . my friends are retired and getting grey. They move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than me, but, I see the great change. Not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant . . . . . but like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we’d become. Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore . . . . it’s mandatory! Cause if I don’t on my own free will, I just fall asleep where I sit!
And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done but never did! But, at least I know, that though I’m on the ‘back nine’, and I’m not sure how long it will last, this I know for sure, that when it’s over on this earth . . . it’s over. A new adventure will begin!
Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn’t done . . . things I should have done, but indeed, there are many things I’m happy to have done. It’s all in a lifetime.
So, if you’re not on the ‘back nine’ yet . . . let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly! Don’t put things off too long! Life goes by quickly. So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether you’re on the ‘back nine’ or not! You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life . . . so, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember, and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the years past!
“Life” is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those who come after. Make it a fantastic one.
LIVE IT WELL!
DO SOMETHING FUN!
HAVE A GREAT DAY
Remember, “It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver”.
LIVE HAPPY IN 2014
LASTLY, CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
~Your kids are becoming you . . . but your grandchildren are perfect.
~Going out is good . . . Coming home is better!
~You forget names . . . But it’s OK because other people forgot they even knew you!
~You realize you’re never going to be really good at anything . . . especially golf.
~The things you used to care to do, you no longer care to do, but you really do care that you don’t care to do them anymore!
~You sleep better on a lounge chair with the TV blaring than in bed. It’s called “pre-sleep”.
~You miss the days when everything worked with just an “ON” and “OFF” switch.
~You tend to use more 4 letter words . . . “what ?” . . . “when ?”. . . ” ???
~Now that you can afford expensive jewelry, it’s not safe to wear it anywhere.
~You notice everything they sell in stores is “sleeveless” !
~What used to be freckles are now liver spots.
~You have 3 sizes of clothes in your closet . . . 2 of which you will never wear.
~~~But Old is good in some things ~~~ Old Songs, Old Movies, and best of all, OLD FRIENDS
