The Friday news weekly round up of stories and events from Adlandpro.
Starting this Friday news is a trip down memory lane to the date December 7, 2012
On December 7, 2012 a new addition was made to Adaldnpro with the launch of the Auto-friend program or as it was fondly called 100 friends. It was created to help new members signing up to Adlandpro be able to meet new friends easily with the purpose to help new members find their way around Adlandpro. It’s now 2014 and the 100 friend program is still going strong.
For those of you who are new to Adlandpro and have signed up to this feature, a reminder for everyone – the 100 friend program was designed to help people meet people to share and connect. Spamming people or treating the members as a “list” is to be actively discouraged and all the rules of Adlandpro are in active effect. If you do not want to be part of the program please go to your profile edit ->click on-> options and check/uncheck -> Participate in the Auto-Friend program.
I felt it worth mentioning something that Jim said on the Adlandpro wall that sums up the intent of the 100 friends
Actually 100 Free Referrals does offer you something. How do I know because I am one of the original people. If you haven’t touched base with me then no you aren’t getting any benefit. Also the other 99 are veterans from ALP old and new. Ask the right questions, don’t lead or mention your offers in the first contacts. Don’t even blast me about your free ad forum. Learn to make contacts, reply to contacts and so forth and you will receive full benefit of having 100 New Referrals within OUR #AdlandPro Community.
On the topic of profiles, at Adlandpro ( unlike Facebook lol) we automatically have your setting on high privacy. To get the most benefit out of Adlandpro, you need to open your privacy so that you can make friends. and here is a YouTube video by Jim Allen on the how to change your privacy levels so that people will see and get to know you.
David Rowland shared a resource well worth sharing this Friday Review about books…lots and lots of books! As many of you may know David is an avid gardener as well as an awesome person who makes unique and original jewelry. Fifty Free Farmstead eBooks has everything from “weeds and how to kill them” to “Homes for Birds”. Check it out and enjoy.
The Adlandpro Blogging community credit program had gotten off to a bit rocky start with a glitch in being able to comment, which was a concern for everyone who was wanting to create an article. Even though people could not comment, it was awesome to see people post articles anyway and even more members wanting to know how they could help and offer support. Well… WE ARE BACK! The Adlandpro Blogging community is now able to post your comments, so don’t be shy..come on in and offer your thoughts on the different blogs posts that have been created. Thank you to ALL OF YOU for your patience and your support!
For our Recipe corner we asked everyone to share their favorite Pasta Sauce and Both Myrna Ferguson and Jim Allen stepped up to the plate to share
Jim Allen’s Favorite Pasta Sauce
Cook a batch of noodles to just almost done the finish off in a pan with a half a stick of butter, garlic, Italian Seasoning, salt and pepper. Add some chicken or veggies as desired.
To end this Friday on a funny note here is a great share that was found on Facebook and I hope everyone has a great week
According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington recently was faced with a unique problem.
A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom.
That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints.
Every night, the maintenance man would remove them and the next day,
the girls would put them back.
Finally the principal decided that something had to be done.
She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man.
She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night.
To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors,
she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required.
He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.
Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.
There are teachers, and then there are educators…
