April 26 AdlandPro Friday Review
Happy Friday everyone!
What a week this has been but it sure has been a good week, I hope yours has been good also.
On April 22, over a billion people in 192 countries participated in Earth Day and whether it was tree plantings, people posting messages on Twitter, Facebook and on AdlandPro it was an impressive display of people caring for their environment..so well done. The stewardship of our land and air should not be celebrated one day a year, but everyday, so lets keep the momentum going and help this World be a better place for our kids and grand kids.
Richie Havens, the man and protest music hero who opened the 1969 Woodstock festival passed away on Monday and the outpouring of memories flowed as people shared their memories of Woodstock.
I decided to start a new feature for the Friday Review called “Did you know” because it is fun to learn new things, a great way to start a conversation and short enough to tweet and share with your fans and followers.

I end this Friday review with a story that has a lot of meaning. I have to say that there are those times when I want to get so angry when I hear people being negative or hurtful to one another and it can be difficult to not speak out. I am very grateful to having a family who has always supported me and I am forever humbled by my many friends both old and new who have given me wisdom and have stood by me through the good times and the bad. I hope you remember the lesson of this story and carry it with you in your heart…
There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily, gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said “you have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.” You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say I’m sorry, the wound is still there. Make sure you control your temper the next time you are tempted to say something you will regret later.
