A special Mothers Day Friday Review
This Sunday May 12,is a day that many families celebrate Mothers Day. The origins of this special day goes back to the ancient Greeks and Romans when they celebrated the annual spring festival dedicated to the maternal goddesses, however the festival as seen today is a recent phenomenon and not even one hundred years old.
Thanks to the hard work of the pioneering women of their times, Julia Ward Howe and Anna Jarvis that the day came into existence. Today the festival of Mothers day is celebrated across 46 countries (though on different dates) and is a hugely popular affair. Millions of people across the globe take the day as an opportunity to honor their mothers, thank them for their efforts in giving them life, raising them and being their constant support and well wisher.
This AdlandPro Friday Review is a tribute to all the moms…may your day be as special as you are…
A Mother’s Day Greetings from Bogdan Fiedur and Adlandpro
This Friday review starts with YouTube and after rumors ( and there were many of them) YouTube has finally announced a pilot program for paid channels. YouTube will now let a few dozen of popular channels charge viewers a subscription fee of 99 cents or more per month, the company announced in a blog post, which you can read more about here New ways to support great content on YouTube. Some of the comments that I have been reading have gone from “NO” to “Sure, I’ll give a few a chance. Why not?” what are your thoughts?
On the Google side of the net, Time Inc and Google have created a new site called Timelapse which is pretty amazing! On the site you can see how any part of the world has changed since 1984-2012. It has some incredible animations…for example the shrinking of the Columbia Glacier, the deforestation in the Amazon to how Dubai has grown over time. It’s a great tool for exploring the amazing to the scary changes happening in the world, so when you have a chance, go take a look and explore the world.
…and lastly have you ever considered that llamas could show you how to win at life? On the Mashable Watercooler, you can see 15 llamas who will show you how to win…never mind reaching for the stars or not giving up..winning at life is what it is all about! Here is one to start you off and maybe listen to the music while you’re at it 🙂

A Mother’s Love
A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:
For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: $.50
Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total owed: $14.75
Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he’d written on, and this is what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge
For all the nights that I’ve sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge
For all the trying times, and all the tears that you’ve caused through the years: No Charge
For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge
For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge
Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge.
When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said,”Mom, I sure do love you.” And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: “PAID IN FULL”
