How to promote your business is the theme for this weeks Friday News
Spring is in the air at least for some people ( I noticed that Diane is sharing her spring blues with the snow falling) 🙂
For many people who are new to Adlandpro, there are always questions about how to promote your business and I thought it would be a good idea this Friday News to talk about this topic as I know that it is always in the top of your minds.
The fact is there are many ways to promote your business, some ways are more effective and affordable than others.
A little self promotion here lol, one of the main reasons I developed Adlandpro was to help people promote their business in a way that is affordable as well as effective, but always with the goal of adding value via networking with your peers.
I have heard many people say such things as “I have been creating free ads for a long time and not one sale” or “I thought if I joined a program it would be easy”
While promoting a business is not rocket science, you do need to understand basic marketing practices, social media marketing and advertising to ever have a chance at making that sale.
Remarkable social media content and great sales copy are pretty much the sam – plain spoken words designed to focus on the needs of the reader, listener or viewer.
Over the years I have written about how to promote your business based on experience of watching people fail and helping them succeed. If you would like to learn about how to create a successful business then I suggest that you head over to E-Business Success Blueprint Workshop and get started. While much of the material you read may be things you already know, sometimes stepping back and doing a refresher course will help you figure out where you might be going wrong.
Of course subscribing to this blog is another way of learning different ways to promote your business as well as subscribing to the Adlandpro Blogging community blogs where members of Adlandpro share their knowledge about marketing and business.
While social media is without a doubt the “new way to do marketing”, remembering the tried and true ways of email marketing is still very important.
When promoting your business using email, it’s important to not fall into the trap of email spam.
Here are a couple of tips to help you avoid the email spam trap
- Always check for words that will get your mail thrown into the spam folder. You can use a tools such as Alphasandesh’s free spam checker to see your spam-score.
- Remove inactive addresses from your email list. Sending emails to people who have not opened your mail in over a year is a waste of your time and in fact could land you into trouble. Once in a while, send out a mail asking if they want to still receive messages from you and get your customers to validate their email addresses by providing an activation link.
There are no magic wands,no hidden tricks and no secret handshakes that can bring you immediate success, but with time, energy and determinations you can get there
One of the best ways to promote your business is by sharing what others are doing and saying and that is something I truly enjoy doing 🙂 We are seeing some wonderful content being shared on the blogging community and Iwould like to introduce a few of our authors...
Focus on the core problem your business solves and put out lots of content and enthusiasm and ideas about how to solve that problem

Did you know that sauerkraut made it’s first appearance in china approximately 2,000 years ago? [tweet this factoid]
Our resident health adviser Luella May talks about sauerkraut with of course a recipe for making homemade sauerkraut shown below.
A couple of last suggestions on this Friday news about promoting your business…
1.Build your email list from day one. A simple email sign-up form on your blog can produce awesome results
2.Start Using Videos To Market Your Business. People love watching videos and this is an effective way to increase sales
3.Write a unique selling proposition (USP) and then create your content around it

The Falcon & The Branch
Once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons. They were peregrine falcons, the most beautiful birds he had ever seen. He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to be trained.
Months passed, and one day the head falconer informed the king that though one of the falcons was flying majestically, soaring high in the sky, the other bird had not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived.
The king summoned healers and sorcerers from all the land to tend to the falcon, but no one could make the bird fly.
He presented the task to the member of his court, but the next day, the king saw through the palace window that the bird had still not moved from its perch.
Having tried everything else, the king thought to himself, “May be I need someone more familiar with the countryside to understand the nature of this problem.” So he cried out to his court, “Go and get a farmer.”
In the morning, the king was thrilled to see the falcon soaring high above the palace gardens. He said to his court, “Bring me the doer of this miracle.”
The court quickly located the farmer, who came and stood before the king. The king asked him, “How did you make the falcon fly?”
With his head bowed, the farmer said to the king, “It was very easy, your highness. I simply cut the branch where the bird was sitting.”
