However, spamming on forums, blogs, in email, etc., is a really bad way to do business and that’s what I want to deal with. First of all, it seems that there’s some confusion about what constitutes spam.
In the real world of business, though, you can’t stay with the status quo – in other words – the way things are at present. In fact, if you tried to do that, even the status quo would pass you by!
We will get back to the how to make money online in a minute, but here are the things many people are really looking for and even seriously pursuing, which you should be avoiding at all costs.
Keeping up with technology in this fast paced world may seem like a lot of work, but like the mythological Rip Van Winkle who slept for a hundred years only to wake in a totally different world; if you don’t keep up, it’s going to quickly leave you far, far behind.
Think about it. What comes to mind when you hear or read the word, “amazon?” You think of books, correct? What about when you hear, “ebay?” You immediately think of online auctions. What about “paypal?” Your first thought is probably about online transactions. But these are not the only places where you can buy books or take advantage of online auctions, or buy and sell without having to use a credit card. Why do these ones stand out?
What is it that makes you want to stretch and strive and struggle? This is SO important! You need to figure this out, or you will be like a person running a race, but with no idea what direction the finish line is. You can run and run, but it’s absolutely impossible to win, because you don’t know where you’re going.
How true this is in blogging and in promoting your blog! You need to add value to the conversation to keep their attention. Even more important that that is the fact that you need to add value to the conversation that is valuable to your audience!
There are many ways to syndicate your content in ways that will add value to your audience and to yourself. How do you want to be seen and where?
Often attributed to Mr. Churchill is the quote, “Never give up!” The actual quote, from which we have gleaned this shortened version is, “Never give in–never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
These words fit the world of affiliate marketing so well! Never give in! Never give up! Affiliate rule number 1: Never give up.
I went to my mailbox, yesterday, and in there, along with all the other junk mail, bills, reminders, etc., was a small, robin’s egg blue envelope.
The first thing I noticed when I turned it over was the way it was addressed. …
… touted as something new that has just been discovered in the world of journalism, and has even been given a name by a prominent news magazine out of Boston. Having been involved in direct sales for so many years, I had to laugh when I read the article. As Solomon wrote in his famous series of notes from an old preacher, “There is nothing new under the sun.”
… What does all this have to do with dead cats? Keep reading, and I promise to tell you…

We can actually learn quite a bit from Duck Dynasty and other, apparently dumb stuff, by examining the Duck Dynasty/Phil Robertson/A&E/GLAAD/Cracker Barrel series of events over the last month or so. Believe me, there were some big winners here, and very little lost by anyone, with the possible exception of Cracker Barrel.
One of the reasons many people in this old world are unhappy is not because they don’t have enough (though that might be true), but because they’re not satisfied with what they have. Every time they look at the person next to them, they see someone with something they want. That makes them unhappy.
So this is Christmas. Who cares? I guess in order to begin to answer that question, perhaps even in our own hearts, it would help to understand the origins of Christmas. What’s it all about, anyway?
Beware of the “limited number of copies” scam… pardon my rudeness… trick. How can the manufacturer of the software run out? Here is a virtually iron clad guarantee…
I mean, why should you have to pay for the privilege of making money for someone else? It doesn’t make sense to me, and yet, every day, people like you and I are actually paying money to someone in order to sell their products…
