50 Short Quotes

Sharing quotes is a favorite pastime for many people  on all the social networks ( even Google+) and while some argue that they are trite or a way to clutter a stream and while there are those who will argue that the only reason people use them is to gain followers and retweets/shares etc., the reality is we love quotes!

Quotes can inspire us, make us laugh and teach us lessons on anything from wisdom to coping with a tragedy. We all have our reasons for sharing.

Did you know the quotes get tweeted more often than other snippets of information 30% more the last time I checked.

While I would not advocate posting quotes all the time ( unless your brand is about philosophy as an example) sharing quotes can be a great way to share pearls of wisdom with your audience and might even brighten a persons day.

Like everything you do in social media, you need to create a balance and post quotes maybe once or twice a day and you need to be sure that the quotes that you are using are accurate and as always with the proper citation.

For the fun of it and because inspiring quotes have a special meaning to me, I decided to put in 50 short quotes that fit very nicely for Twitter.  You are more than welcome to share these pearls of wisdom with your followers, fans and friends.  Every quote is under 130 characters and all you have to do is click “Tweet This” and it will go automatically to Twitter for you.

Boston Marathon Tragedy: Kevin Jonas, P!nk and More Tweet Their Sympathies

I would like to add one more quote that I would like to send to the families of those who were killed and injured in today’s Tragedy in Boston

“In times of grief and sorrow I will hold you and rock you and take your grief and make it my own. When you cry I cry and when you hurt I hurt. And together we will try to hold back the floods to tears and despair and make it through the potholed street of life”
